I am currently in the process of moving, while I was packing I saw how many products I still had to try, so my two week isolation period has been the perfect time to stop buying things, and use up products I’ve already had, and its worked because I’ve managed to use up these products!

I’m sure you’ve either heard of or tried this yourself, if not, this tonic is a chemical exfoliate with 5% Glycolic Acid. This isn’t my first time finishing one of these, I do like to have one in all the time, but I’m waiting to try a REN chemical exfoliate, maybe it’ll make the cut as Pixi Glow Tonic is amazing with it results, it just has a lot of unnecessary fragrance mixed in with it.
Lush YogNog Shower Gel.
I don’t often buy Lush shower gel, I steer more towards their bath bombs, bubble bars, etc, but I got this for Christmas and its incredible! This shower gel has a very sweet smell on the bottle it says caramel and custard, which doesn’t sound as nice as it truly smells. There is maple syrup. carrageenan extract and jojoba oil o soften the skin. I loved the scent so much that I got the matching body conditioner. I will definitely be on the lookout for this next year.
This was a new product for me to try, as I normally use Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Essence Mist, which I must say, I will be buying again over the Vitamin C one. I found this to be quite drying, even when I used it less often, my face just didn’t like too much of it without a nice thick cream applied afterward, I did, however, love the smell of it, I just wouldn’t recommend this if you have dry skin.
The Body Shop Mango Body Butter.
I’m a big fan of body butter’s due to having dry eczema-prone skin, but some of them tend to ball up or even make me itchier, but I love the body shop ones, they have a great range of scents of ingredients also. The mango one smells incredible, it’s so fruity that it sometimes makes me thirsty and crave fruit juice. The body shop is also fully vegan if that’s something you look out for.
Avon Naturals Almond & Lilly of the Valley Scented Spritz.
The best place to get these from is an Avon rep. I did look online, but they work out much more expensive for you guys, where you can get them for around £1.50/£2. I love these Avon spritzes so much. During isolation, I have been using them instead of perfumes as I’ve been inside. I do use these daily though, even when I am leaving the house. I actually have a replacement ready. It has a sweetness, but also nutty floral notes.
I used this a lot when my hair was dry and damaged and I reducing the amount of straightening I was doing and it worked great. This spray has fruit, Imbe oil and coconut water so it’s really good a nourishing dry hair. However, since my hair has been in better condition recently, I haven’t found myself reaching for it much due to it being a little greasy for my hair, which is why I’ve used up in isolation when I’ve been at home constantly. I would highly recommend for dry, dehydrated hair.
Yankee candle’s melon is my favourite candles, their fruity yet so fresh. Due to being at home during isolation, I’ve been burning candles so much more. They did stop doing this scent, but they bought it back out as a returning classic. Yankee’s Home Inspirations do a Kiwi Melon* one that is just as nice though.
Mimitika Face Sunscreen.
Face SPF is so important for everyday use. I have been using it even during isolation as in the UK we have been getting nice garden weather, which I appreciate more now than I ever have done before. When I first got this product I fell in love. Heres a post dedicated to just this sunscreen.
Now I’ve managed to use up some of my products, keep an eye on this space to see my thoughts on more! How have you been looking after yourself during this unusual time?
